We collect information in the following ways:
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication method (email/password, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In).
Habit data. We store the habits you choose to replace (swap pairs), your daily check-ins, streak counts, and goal history. This data is tied to your account and stored on our servers.
Community content. If you participate in community groups, we store posts, comments, likes, and buddy interactions you create.
Device information. For push notifications, we collect your device push token. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
Anonymous sessions. Before you create an account, the app operates with an anonymous session. Anonymous session data includes only local habit progress and is not linked to any personal identity.
We use your information solely to provide and improve Swap & Grow:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to third parties.
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, which is hosted on AWS. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables so that users can only access their own data.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.
Swap & Grow integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
We do not integrate any advertising SDKs or analytics platforms that track you across apps.
You can use Swap & Grow without creating an account. In anonymous mode, the app creates a temporary session stored locally on your device. No personal information is collected during anonymous use.
If you later create an account, your anonymous progress can be migrated to your new account. Anonymous sessions that are never linked to an account are automatically purged after 90 days of inactivity.
Content you post in community groups — including posts, comments, and reactions — is visible to other members of those groups. Please do not share sensitive personal information in public posts.
Buddy chat messages are private between you and your matched buddy. They are stored on our servers to enable real-time sync and history. If you unmatch from a buddy, chat history is no longer accessible to either party.
Your display name and streak count are visible to other users in the buddy finder and community features.
With your permission, we send push notifications including daily habit reminders, buddy pings, and milestone celebrations. Your device push token is stored securely and used only to deliver these notifications.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app under Notifications → Swap & Grow.
