Quick answers to the most common questions about Waltro.
Yes. All your financial data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud Sync, in which case it syncs to your personal iCloud account — encrypted by Apple. We never upload your data to our servers.
Go to Settings → Recurring Income Sources and tap the + button. Enter your income name (e.g. "Salary"), amount, and the day of the month it arrives. Waltro will automatically generate income transactions on the right day each month.
The "Monthly Income" field in Settings is a budget reference number — it doesn't create a transaction. To see income in your transaction list, set up a Recurring Income Source in Settings. Waltro will then auto-generate income transactions on the scheduled day each month.
When adding or editing a transaction, scroll down to the Receipt section and tap the camera icon. Select a photo from your library. The image is saved locally on your device. To view it later, tap the transaction to open its detail view.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, find Waltro, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll retain premium access until the end of the current billing period.
Open Waltro on your new device and go to Settings → Go Premium. Tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Yes — this is a Premium feature. Go to Settings → Export Statement to export your transactions as a CSV or PDF file. You can share it via email, AirDrop, or save it to Files.
Enable iCloud Sync in Settings → Sync → iCloud Sync. Your data will sync across all your Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Syncing is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit — your data is encrypted and we cannot access it.
Go to Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all transactions, categories, goals, and income sources from your device. This action cannot be undone. Alternatively, deleting the app removes all data automatically.
Open the Waltro app once — the widget updates automatically when you use the app. If it still shows $0, try long-pressing the widget and selecting Edit Widget to force a refresh. Make sure you have transactions added for the current month.
